Our complimentary amenities include a delicious continental breakfast, high speed wireless internet, an extensive DVD collection, nightly turndown service, dog wash station, fresh cookies, and locally roasted coffee throughout the day. We hope they add to your enjoyment of The Ocean Lodge.
Cannon Beach Fitness
All of our guests are invited to use Cannon Beach Fitness. It offers state of the art Nautilus commercial strength training and cardio machines. Please pick up a Guest Pass at the Front Desk. Cannon Beach Yoga
Guests are also welcome to use Cannon Beach Yoga Arts studio in downtown Cannon Beach. Visit their website cannonbeachyogaarts.com or call (503) 440-1649 for current class schedule.
Baby Pack-&-Plays
For our smallest guests, we have portable pack-&-plays that are available by request and are free of charge.
Bell Staff – Hospitality Service
Our Bell Staff offers a wide range of services. They are here to show you to your room and around the property, help you with your luggage at Check-In and Check-Out, turndown service (see below), and deliver guest requested items (packages, ice, popcorn, firewood, extra toiletries, etc.). Along with these things, our Bell Staff is equipped to help you figure out all the items in your room, so dial “0” for assistance.
Check In/Out
Check in time is 4:00 pm. Check out time is 12:00 pm, noon. To alert Housekeeping to your departure, please put your “Tidy Up” sign on the outside of your door when you check out.
Continental Breakfast
Please join us in the Mountain View Breakfast Room on the 2nd Floor South for a complimentary assortment of delicious breakfast foods from 7:00-10:00 am, Monday – Friday and 7:00 am – 11:00 am Saturday – Sunday. We provide a wide variety of bagels, enticing pastries, hot & cold cereals, yogurt and fruits. Additionally, fresh fruits, coffees, teas, hot chocolate, and cider are available 24 hours a day. Trays are available to take food to your room.
Cookies
A reason to return again and again ~ stop by our front desk for fresh-baked cookies all day long!
ADA Services
The Ocean Lodge wishes to accommodate the needs of all our guests. The following information addresses features of the property, building, and rooms that are available for our guests with special needs. If you have any questions or require additional assistance, please do not hesitate to call the Front Desk.
Wheel Chair Access
Our wheelchair ramp connects to the lodge at the North side of the main entrance. We also have an elevator. For locations on both of these, see the Property Map in the “Important Extras” section of this guide.
Closed-Caption Televisions
All televisions come with this option. The easiest way to enable this is to call a Bellman.
Disability Parking
Our parking lot has two handicapped parking spaces on the North side of the main entrance. A DMV issued handicap-parking permit is required to use these spaces.
Shower Chairs & Bathroom Bars
Rooms 105 and 110 have handicapped bars and fold down shower chairs in the bathrooms. We also have a portable shower chair should you need it in any of our other rooms. Please call the Front Desk, and we will bring it to you.
Feather Pillows
We are pleased to offer down feather pillows upon request.
Firewood
Small bonfires are permitted on the beach.We have bundles of firewood available for you to purchase. Please keep fires under control at all times.
Flashlights
We do have occasional winter storm-related power outages in Cannon Beach. They usually last a couple of hours, and are nothing to be alarmed about. In the event that this does happen, the Front Desk has enough flashlights for everyone. Also, a lamp is supplied under your kitchen sink.
Gift Certificates
An Ocean Lodge gift certificate is perfect for any occasion and can be purchased at the Front Desk or online. Just ask the Front Desk for more information. You will make someone very happy!
Guest Computer
If the world absolutely insists on encroaching on your relaxation, we have a guest computer and printer available for your use. Located on the first floor at the bottom of the staircase.
Housekeeping
Our Housekeepers are available daily from 10 am – 3 pm. They have provided you with all your kitchen items (dishes, silverware, wine openers, etc.) and bathroom amenities (shampoos, soaps, towels, etc.). They will refresh and replace these during your stay-over service. Bed linens are usually changed out every other day, unless otherwise specified by you. Remember to put out your “Tidy Up” sign to alert Housekeeping . You can also request these items from the front desk at any time.
Ice
Located on the 2nd and 3rd Floors – see map, we have bagged ice available in freezers by the elevators. Our Bell Staff would also be happy to assist you.
Internet Access
The Ocean Lodge has complimentary Wireless Internet throughout the property. To access simply turn on your wireless divice, locate network signal labeled “Ocean Lodge,” select “connect,” and type in current password (contact front desk if you were not given password at check-in). If you experience any problems connecting to this complimentary service, please contact the Front Desk.
Laundry
A coin-operated washer and dryer are located in the First Floor of Building C. $2.75 per wash and $2.75 will run the dryer. Laundry soap is free of charge. Quarters are available at the Front Desk. We would ask that really sandy items be well shaken outside before washing, and that only clean clothes be put in the dryer.
Lending Library & Fireplace
Our Lending Library is for your enjoyment and is not constrained to the library itself. We hope you find that we have a fascinating and fun assortment of books for every age and interest available throughout the lodge. Our Library and Fireplace are located just outside the Breakfast Room, located on the 2nd floor. We also have puzzles and games for little ones! Feel free to read in our public areas or take items back to your room.
Massages
Either at the local spa or in your guest room, massage is a great way to increase your relaxation during your visit. We are pleased to offer in-room massage service from local, highly trained, licensed therapists. Please call the Front Desk for current prices, their services, and/or to make an appointment (guests are encouraged to call in advance).

Newspapers
USA Today and The Oregonian newspapers are available in the Breakfast Room. In addition, the Cannon Beach Gazette is available in the lobby at the coffee and cookie station. The Gazette will help to increase your knowledge of fun things to do, places to go, and special events in Cannon Beach and the surrounding communities.
Office Assistance (Copies, Faxes, Mail)
We are happy to help with your copying, faxing, and mailing needs. The charge for transmitting or receiving a fax is $2.00 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page. Copies and printing are $0.25 per page. Out-going mail dropped at the desk will go out the next day. Stationery, envelopes, and postcards are available at the Front Desk as well.
Packages & Special Treats
Our Guest Services Department has an in-depth selection of special occasion packages, champagne, wine, chocolates and fun snacks to embellish your visit and set a celebratory mood. You can order these things ahead of time, or have a Bellman slip it into your room during evening turndown service. Stop by or call the Front Desk for detailed information on our current packages. You are also welcome to visit our website: theoceanlodge.com for a complete list. Please keep in mind that advance notice is needed for floral items, bakery cakes and massages.
Pet Guests
At our lodge, 11 rooms in the main lodge [100, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 200, 202, 203 & 204] and 8 rooms in the buildings behind the lodge [120, 221, 222, 223, 224, 225, 322 & 323] are designated as pet friendly. We ask that pets not be left unattended in your room at any time. Hotel rooms are not the same as the home they are accustomed to, and when left in a strange place without you they can become very upset.
If you are staying here with your dog, cat, bird, or any other pet (no snakes please!), you should have received a pet basket in your room. Since most of our animal visitors are dogs, the baskets aim to meet their needs. They come with a sleeping sheet, doggie towel, and a package of treats and dog “pick up” bags. There is also a dog bag dispenser on the south fence of our property. If you need or want more of what’s in the basket, please call the Front Desk.
A dog wash station with Pup Suds shampoo is located at the southernmost entrance to the beach. It is connected to our sprinkler system, and is therefore available to use in our less rainy months.
A backup dog wash hose is located behind our southern Cottage “building C” (see property map), and is available year round. We know some dogs don’t like to get showers, but our Housekeepers would greatly appreciate it if you hosed them down. The wash hose is good for people feet and toys too!
Toothbrushes & Shaving Kits
The Front Desk has new toothbrushes with toothpaste and shaving kits in case you forgot to bring yours!
Umbrellas
Large and small umbrellas are located by the main entrance doors, and are available for guest use throughout your stay, though we hope you won’t need one.
